and how we work

CONSULT

A representative of The VM Style Group, will attend your property to provide a consultation.

The initial consultation is a meet and greet to discuss your interior design needs and goals, tour the space, share our vision and get an overall idea about how you would like your space to look, feel and function.

Our director Jen and interior designer Tahnee, will thoroughly assess your floor plan, images and the consultation notes (including your input) to prepare your Brief. Your Brief is essentially a list of areas to focus on and items to be purchased.

We are happy to undertake your project in stages or meet any particular deadlines you may have.

Our interior designer hourly rate is $165 (including GST) and where we have two designers working on your project or at a meeting, you will only ever be charged for one designer’s time.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

Once the Brief has been finalized and your interior design proposal has been accepted, we will commence the design process and start developing your concept.

Development of the concept may include the selection of fixtures and fittings, carpet, flooring, floor and wall tiles, window furnishings and lighting for new builds or home/business renovations.

Our professional expertise enables us to select the best pieces of furniture, rugs artwork, lighting, soft furnishings and accessories for you. Making the correct choices and taking out the legwork for you can save you a huge amount of time and money plus provide you with the satisfaction of knowing “it just works”.

Throughout the process there is plenty of opportunity for you to collaborate with us and be a part of the design journey. You can choose how much or how little you would like to be involved.

Once the design concept is completed, we will place orders for your purchases.

DELIVERY

The VM Style Group will undertake stock checks, liaise with suppliers, place the orders for your purchases and organize the delivery of these items either to our warehouse or directly to your home or business.

We quality check every delivery to ensure the items you have purchased are in perfect condition.

We also offer a packaging and rubbish removal service.

Where artwork and/or mirrors have been purchased, we can arrange for our professional picture hanger to attend your property/business to hang these pieces for you.

FIT OUT

This is a great day! This is the day our truck is loaded with all the items you have purchased and we head to your property/business to place your furnishings and professionally style each space.

Our removalists will unwrap all items and place them in each room. Your stylists will ensure the furniture is placed in the exact locations, your artwork and mirrors are hung perfectly, all beds are steam ironed. Professional accessorising and fresh flowers/foliage will complete the look.

At the completion of the installation, we will reveal the new look for your home/business, which we know will bring great satisfaction and enjoyment for years to come.
