Our interior designers are able to identify what a property needs, create your concept source the furnishings and arrange delivery, set up and professional styling. You will not have to lift a finger!

We are able to work with you in stages or to a set budget as we understand everyone’s situation is different.

Many property owners have a good idea of how they would like their property to look and feel, and we more than happy to build on those ideas to help you achieve what you are looking for. On the flipside, if you don’t know where to begin or how to increase the appeal of your property, you can leave it to us. the STAY REST process

Step 1

Meet and measure

We meet you at the property (or can let ourselves in) and discuss your goals and how you are wanting your accommodation to look and feel. We take measurements and photographs which assist us in preparing a brief for you.

Step 2

Your concept

One of our interior designers will then create a concept for your accommodation. The designer will source furniture and artwork options, select appropriate colour palettes and a range of accessories. These options will be organised for you in a pdf presentation to enable you to visualise how every space will look.

Step 3

Install and style

Once all your selections have been finalised, we order and purchase your furnishings and wait for the deliveries to roll in. We then install and professionally style, revealing the new look for your accommodation!

How long does the process take?

Generally speaking, projects are completed within 1-3 months depending on the size and complexity of the property. This timeframe enables us to create a concept, source furniture, artwork and accessories. There is then a delivery phase and we need time to install and style before photography. We have completed projects in a shorter amount of time, so we know it is possible but this guide is fairly accurate, particularly if items are not in stock.

Can you work to a budget?

Absolutely. We can work with a range of budgets and can advise you which areas would be best to invest in and which areas can be undertaken on a tighter budget. Sourcing more affordable items for you to ensure you complete your whole property is also an option. We often find that we are able to source a mix of furnishings at different price points to come in under budget and still achieve the desired look.

Can I use my own furniture?

Yes, this is not a problem. We can blend soft furnishings, lighting and accessories with your existing furniture so that the spaces feel harmonious and complete.

How hands on do I need to be?

Every project is different and we have worked with a range of clients with varying levels of involvement. Some clients prefer to have very little involvement in the design and like to see what we come up with. Whereas other clients are keen to be more involved and prefer regular updates and discussions about the various design options and direction of the project. We understand this and can accommodate your chosen level of involvement.

Can you do a range of looks?

Yes! This is what we specialise in. If your are after a coastal, city, boho, eclectic or country design, we can do it!

How far will you travel to style?

Let’s chat! Ours offices are based in Oakleigh South and we work across Melbourne, Bayside and the Mornington Peninsula.

Will I own the furniture?

Yes! You will own all the furniture, soft furnishings and accessories you purchase through VM. The furniture is curated on your behalf and will remain at the property for your visitors to use and enjoy.

Can you organise photography?

Yes we can. We work with a talented photographer who can capture the essence of your property and highlight its best features for your chosen short term accommodation site. The photographer is a separate service to VM and the cost is not included in our packages.

Can you assist if I need additional services such as painting, landscaping and window furnishings?

​Absolutely. We have worked for many years with reputable trades who are reliable and experienced. We have built close relationships with our trades and call on their services regularly for a wide range of projects.
